Alice Browne

Alice Browne was born 1986 in London. She lives and works in London, UK. She gained her BA Fine Art Painting at Wimbledon College of Art (2009) and her MA Fine Art Painting at the Royal College of Art (2016). Drawing on an expanse of influences and materials, Browne's painted works describe obscure imaginative spaces, which simultaneously appear to adhere to the rules of gravity and perspective whilst outwardly ignoring them. Boxes, shadows, screens and girders mingle with drips, floating transparent forms and abstract geometric shapes. Her works appear to occupy multiple planes and visual languages, resulting in a complex network of forms that flip between object and image. Recent solo shows include OUTPOST, Norwich, UK (2015), Prosjektrom Normanns, Stavanger, NO (2014); Limoncello, London, UK; annarumma, Naples, IT (2013) The China Shop, Oxford, UK; Supercollider, Blackpool, UK (both 2012). Recent group shows include:
Eduardo Secci Contemporary, Florence (2016/2017), Attic, Nottingham, UK; OVADA, Oxford, UK (both 2014); Fjord, Philadelphia, US; Interno 4, Bologna, IT; Matthews Yard, Croydon, UK (all 2013); dienstgebäude, Zurich, CH (2012); APT Gallery, London, UK (2011); A Foundation, Liverpool, UK; and ICA, London, UK (both 2010).

Joshua Citarella

Joshua Citarella (b. 1987, New York) graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2010 and currently lives and works in New York City. Fashion Paintings (2016), show the cosmetic retouching of commercial fashion images once the original photograph has been removed. The immaterial labor of photo retouching is now evidenced as gestural, painterly marks floating atop a canvas surface. The outlines of models' bodies, concealed blemishes and dust spots appear as a ghostly absence, reminding us of a scene that once was. These works elucidate the new tools and descriptive systems of digital images, pulling back the curtain on today's modes of photographic production. He has had solo shows at Higher Pictures, New York (2013, 2015) and Carroll/Fletcher, London (2016). Selected group exhibitions include Planes, BFI, Miami; Figure 8, Clifton Benevento, New York; Mediated Images, Brand New Gallery, Milan, Italy (all 2015); Under Construction: New Positions in American Photography, Fotografiemuseum, Amsterdam, Netherlands and Pioneer Works, New York (2014-15); MOCAtv Presents: A Jogging Screening at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (2014). He is organizer of Compression Artifacts (2013), thePSDshow.org (2012) and was a member of the collaborative artist project Jogging. He currently collaborates with Brad Troemel as Ultraviolet Production House.

Michael Debatty

Michael Debatty was born in Liège in 1988. He lives and works in Bruxelles.
Through the Belgians surrealist legacy and the 80's postmodernism american pain- tings, Michael Debatty questions the pictural art in its intuitiveness, highlighting the primitive, natural and sensory inspiration.
The happenstance is revealing an instinctive painting in which the body of his work becomes a tension between order and disorder (Noëmie Merca).
Recently he presented a duo exhibition with artist Noa Barker at Exo Exo, Paris, curated by Exo Exo and Galerie Lodos Mexico. Other solo exhibitions include "Guidato dal vapore" at Galerie Uhoda Liège (2015); Fantasy Bureau, Galerie Central, Liège (2014). He also participated in group exhibitions such as "BERLIN EST", Galerie Arnaud Deschin, Paris (2016); "RAVI Open Studio" curated by Xavier Mary at Résidences-Ateliers Vivegnis International, Liège (2016); "Group show", Galerie Central,Liège (2015); FFEMECBLOT, Clovis XV, Bruxelles (2015); BAL, Musé des Beaux Arts de Liège(2015); "ONU", Atelier Alain De Clerck, Liège (2012); Canvas Collectie, Palais des Beaux Arts de Bruxelles, Bruxelles (2012).
